It is defined as the removal of pain receptors in the tooth to ease the pain of an infected or traumatized tooth. It is like a partial root canal treatment that is done in emergencies to ease pain and buy time until you are able to get the full root canal completed.

Different people experience different things after pulpotomy treatment. You may experience soreness in the jaw, mild swelling, or discomfort.

What Can I do to Promote Healing After My Pulpotomy?

You should also avoid chewing on the affected tooth. If you are in pain, you can also take an anti-inflammatory such as Advil, unless you are allergic.
